The Indiana State Board of Nursing has announced that, as of July 1, 2020, Indiana will be fully implementing the Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC). Indiana will be joining 33 other states in the interstate compact.
Nurses in Indiana will be able to apply for their multi state license in Indiana beginning July 1, 2020.
The NLC will allow RN’s and LPN’s to hold one multi state license that allows them to practice in-person or via telehealth in both their home state and other states that participate in the NLC.
The Indiana Stare Board of Nursing encourages nurses to check their website at IN.gov.pla.nursing for future information regarding the implementation of the NLC, as it will be updated with more material as the July 1, 2020 date approaches.
